The Itinerary

We will meet you in Barcelona and shuttle you up to Girona. Arriving to your accommodation, we will have a quick lunch prepared for you before heading down to The Service Course where your locker with your new kit and swag pack is waiting. Your bikes will be ready to go and after any minor adjustments, we are off for a quick spin around Canet D´Adri. After a shower, we will head off for a welcome drink before dinner. 30km 466m climbing

Start the day off like we will all week, breakfast at La Fabrica, don't worry you will get to try everything on the menu before the end of the week. Then we will roll out of town soon hitting the lower slopes of Els Angels, and 11km gentle climb leading up to the church where we will take a quick look at the views, mountains to one side and the Med to the other. Descending down, we will shortly be on the Santa Paella climb, another gently 6km climb before descending and taking the back roads back into Girona. Another stop into La Fabrica for lunch and back to shower up and enjoy the siesta. Stroll down to Espresso mafia anytime for a little pick me up before dinner in the evening.70km 1157m climbing

After another good breakfast, we will set off for a shop favourite. Heading out of town with some gentle climbing and descending before the main obstacle, affectionally known as the Moustache climb. After climbing up to spectacular views from the reservoir, we start the Moustache with its spicy gradients for the first kilometre but after a short flat section to recover the rest of the climb slightly more forgiving. We will climb all the way to the top taking in the views from Del Mont. The ride home takes in a long, downhill section before a short climb and the final cruise into town. 94km 1581m climbing

It may not be the queen stage of the tour but its the jewel in the crown. Heading out of Girona, we will head towards Llagorstera from where we will start the climb up to St Grau - a longer but gradual climb that takes us well above the Mediterranean but it's not until we start the descent that the views open up to the coast and the beautiful turquoise water. Left at the bottom takes us along one of the most spectacular coastal roads you will have ridden. Winding up and down with the beautiful views to your right and leading us to S´Agaro where we will stop for lunch at the beach. After a quick swim, we transfer back to Girona.57km 1017m climbing

Heading north from Girona, we will ride uphill towards the farthest point of the day towards the town of Olot. After a quick coffee stop, we will continue uphill through the Garrotxa volcanic region before heading down on the way home through Banyoles and the base of the infamous Rocacorba climb, any takers?117km 1772m climbing

Our last day takes us to Banyoles where you can find the lake that hosted the rowing events in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. We will cruise along, share war stories of the past week, stop at the lake for a coffee, taking in the views before rolling back into town for lunch. Enjoy a lazy afternoon, maybe pack a few things up before our farewell dinner.48km 684m climbing

Sadly we say our goodbyes and get you back to Barcelona to catch your flight back home, though we don't believe in goodbyes and only see you next time. Optional AM spin if you have an afternoon transfer.

Total distance 416km
